MEET "INDY"
Indiana “Indy” Thompson is a dedicated Chetek area leader committed to strengthening our community through service, education, and small business growth.
A proud graduate of the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District, Indy earned his degree from UW–Stout in Golf Enterprise Management (Summa Cum Laude) with a minor in Business Administration and competed in NCAA Division III golf. From 2018–2021, he served as General Manager of Big Fish Golf Course, working alongside the Lac Courte Oreilles (LCO) Tribe during the most profitable years in the course’s history.
Today, Indy is a local small business owner, substitute teacher, and coach for both the boys’ and girls’ high school golf teams, investing directly in youth, education, and the long term vitality of our region. Rooted in generations of hard working Chetek families, he’s focused on empowering young people, supporting small businesses, and building a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
